When this song came out it was very hard to find. I finally found one with the pic sleeve and had it shipped over from Europe. The sleeve was a bit rubbed, but the vinyl plays fine. Fantastic record, definitely worth seeking out if you can get one. A little piece of rock history. Alan Merrill's vocals make this the best version for me by far
I bought this when I was still at school in 1975. I remember I signed a petition in Disc music paper to get The Arrows "I love rock n roll" more radio plays! Great record. The flip side "broken down heart" never got reviewed in any of the music papers, only "I love rock n roll" did and they were all good reviews. Pity their label RAK didn't promote this record, it should have been the Arrows biggest hit and ultimately the song was I guess.
I have one of these. I've played it so many times the grooves are nearly worn out. Terrific single.
Found one of these in Paris in a small vinyl shop specializing in vinyl British releases. It is a fantastic record. Both sides sound really good. My picture sleeve is a bit beat up but the single plays perfectly.
I bought this in '75 when it came out. My copy is in good condition and it plays well with almost no hisses or pops and no, I'm not selling it! It sounds great, both sides.
