Not sure why this is so overlooked but 'The Journey' is an absolute beast. Only ever heard it on a couple of Fabio sets from early 94. Really well put together breaks, dark synth loops and a pounding sub bass that rattles you to the core on a big system. Hidden gem and actually aged better than 'The Darkest Knight' which gets all the praise.
That staggered booming beat I think influenced Witchman on one of his epic DNB tunes... I think the tune was called Chemical Noir (Dark Seeker Freestyle Dub)....
Ultravox- Dreams? .... 1986... What a sound... Sampled by many a jungalist... Now whilst Mc Duke was lyrically stinging your mind back in the late 1980s he morphed into Ekud CM and went another level into the realms of the jungle dark beats...! ;) sPOoNFeD........X......
The Darkest Knight is a slammer. Great sample and cut up beats/amen combined with pounding bass make it a great tune on a slightly dark trip. Serious has a ragga line repeated a few times through, and again a great cut up amen with a punishing bass-line and 'Girl I can't control' samples. Kenny Ken threw these down at World Dance in Feb 94!
The Darkest Knight dark sample i think taken from Subnation Extreme Minds.
